Kindergarten:  

  1. Warmups/stretching with CD "Aerobics for Kids"

  2. Gymnastics routine

  3. Jumping, jumps with turns

  4. balancing with front and side scales

  5. run/walk game

  6. throwing and catching skills

   

Grades 1,2,3: Grade 1 will be practicing locomotor movements with various games. Grade 2 will be getting ready for the 1/4 mile run, along with locomotor movement games. Grade 3 will be getting trained for the 1/2 mile run, and playing various scooter games.

 

Grade 4-8:  We have been training real hard for the Presidential Fitness Program for the One-Mile Run. The students have been running 4 laps per gym class, and being timed to compare for improvement. On October 2, we had the official one-mile run, and everyone gave a real good effort. We will continue to work on their total fitness; and also to start a volleyball unit.
