Miss Sipll’s Music Class
An Overview
Expectations:
1. Enter the room quietly and immediately go to your seat.
2. Remain in your seat unless given permission.
3. Be respectful to your classmates and your teacher (no talking out of turn, no destruction of school property, etc.)
4. Complete work on time and to the best of your ability.
5. Have fun, ask questions, and learn a lot!
Incentives:
~ Points will be awarded to individuals or to classes for good behavior, participation, and/or commendable work.
~ Up to 10 points can be earned per class per day.
~ Points awarded in liturgy for proper singing, participation, and good behavior will count as double.
~ 100 points = Free Day; 3 Free Days = Pizza Party
~ Points may be subtracted for poor group behavior; 1st warning – no points lost; 2nd warning – 5 points lost; 3rd warning – 10 points lost and writing assignment given.
Individual Consequences:
If there are behavior problems regarding individual students the following action will be taken:
1st Offense: Verbal Warning
2nd Offense: Writing Assignment and Loss of Recess for 1 day.
3rd Offense: Loss of Recess for 1 week, notify parent and principal of behavior.
Program and Performance Attendance:
This year, the Christmas Program will feature grades 1-8, and our Spring Program will feature grades 1-5. We will also have all grades perform at Grandparent’s Day, and there is a possibility of a 6-8 Spring Cabaret Show. If you are involved with any of these, your attendance is mandatory!!! Grades will be lowered a full letter grade if you have an unexcused absence!!!
One More Thing. . . .
This year, if you lose papers, packets, listening journals, etc., it is your responsibility to replace them!
