March 2010 Preschool Website Update

Happy Spring!  Hopefully we will be enjoying warmer weather soon.

Here are our important March dates:

• March 2^nd – 4^th – Spring book fair.
• Fri. March 5^th – Teacher Institute day.
• Mon. & Tues. March 8^th & 9^th – Spirit Days.
• Mon. March 8^th – Field trip to Lewis University to see “Rumplestilskin”.
• Mon. March 15^th – Spring picture day.
• Wed. March 17^th – St. Patrick’s Day – wear green.
• Thurs. & Fri. March 18^th & 19^th – Show & Tell.
• Fri. March 19^th – St. Joseph’s Day – wear red.
• Thurs. & Fri. March 25^th & 26^th – Career Days.  Dress up like who you want to be when you grow up.  Be creative!
• Mon. March 29^th – AM Spring/Easter party.
• Wed. March 31^st – PM Spring/Easter party.  Please remember your Easter eggs.
• Thurs. April 1^st – Holy Thursday.  Early dismissal – Spring Break begins.  Classes resume Mon. April 12^th.  Have a wonderful vacation!

The preschoolers are working hard on their letters, numbers, shapes, colors, fine and gross motor skills.  In Religion, the children are learning about Lent and Jesus.  The children have begun to learn Spring songs and fingerplays.  They are all enjoying Spring books and stories.

We have begun creating our Spring-themed art projects such as shamrocks, kites, lions & lambs, leprechauns, turtles, bunnies and Easter eggs.
