Protecting God's Children

Protecting God’s Children

Out of concern for the safety and well-being of children, every
diocesan, parish, school or religious education employee/volunteer
who has significant or sustained contact with children is to participate
in the Protecting God's Children Program. You need to take this class
before you can go on field trips, do fundraisers and kitchen duty. The
program is also offered to others interested in attending.
Of all the safe environment programs available, Protecting God's
Children was selected for the Joliet Diocese. It was determined to be
the best possible program primarily because it is comprehensive,
professional and appealing.

Listed below are the dates that St. Mary Nativity will be conducting
classes for Protecting God’s Children. Please call the rectory to register
for the class, 815-726-4031. After attending the class, please notify
the school office. The school office will need a copy of the certificate.
You will then be given a volunteer background check form which is the
last thing needed for processing.
